Preventing Rebuy from Counting Imported Historical Orders in Shopify

What options are there to prevent Rebuy from counting historical orders imported into a shopify store, as towards the usage bill? When orders are imported into a shopify store such as via matrixify/csv, the created date becomes the day of import. We had a client moving to a new shopify instance, and they were hit with a giant bill for January when thousands of closed out orders from the source store were imported Jan 8. in reality these had already been billed months ago.
